要約:This research work is mainly focusing on how to deal when short circuit faults happen in power transmission lines. Two types of electrical faults known in power system are temporary and permanent fault. For this project, both faults are used for the case of design and install auto-reclose to the transmission line by de-energize the faulted phase temporarily, before re-energizing after short delay allowance by reclosing back the circuit breakers. The challenge is that whether the system fully extinguish the arc after breaker reclosing. Regarding transient fault cases, there is no guarantee that the arc will be completely extinguished by the moment of reclosing which leads in re-striking of the arc and can be considered as an unsuccessful reclosing. The project must be done in a way to collect as many simulation data as possible on the behavior of the synchronous machine when fault or disturbance occurred at the case when the machine lose the line containing the load. Three-phase circuit breaker installed on the three-phase transmission line must be provided with switching which simulate the scenario of implementing an auto-reclose fault clearance on the transmission line using Matlab Simulink software.
