The food industry is one of the major industry in Malaysia. There are a lot type of food in Malaysia. Nowadays, people like to go travel but they bring food from Malaysia during their journey. The food need to pack in packaging like aluminium foil, tin can, plastic and others. All the food in Supermarket was packed properly. Some medium entrepreneur that involve in food industry business need a proper machine to grow their business and their production. The most important part in food industry is the weighing and packaging mechanism. All type of food need to be measure the weight of each packaging before seal the packaging. The purpose of the packaging is to ensure the food long lasting. The automatic machine is quite expensive for medium entrepreneur. The purpose of this project is to gather information on weighing and packaging mechanism that was used in food industry in order to modify and improve the manual machine to automatic machine by using low cost capital. The subject of this project are from a businessperson in UNITEN who request on automatic machine of weighing and packaging mechanism. She want to grow her business and need to increase the production without increasing the labour cost and number of workers. The data obtained after an interview session with her to collect the information on problem occurred. From data obtained, several process to create the finalized prototype design have been done. Next step involved fabrication and installing the component for building the prototype. The testing result on final prototype were obtained and the analysis of the prototype was obtained to ensure the objective of this project was achieved. The entire process, guideline from supervisor and lectures are followed. All the information that has been gathered from various source which are internet, journals and experienced person
