The literature review made is based on three principles which are fire protection shield, robot with fire extinguisher system and robot with autonomous system. Four materials have been selected, namely aluminium, paper fire log, cotton wool and melamine foam. Fire resistance test were conducted on aluminium, while heat resistance test were carried out on paper fire log, cotton wool and melamine foam. The findings of temperature at the prototype body layer were used as a reference to the ability of heat insulating materials.
