| Summary: | In project 1, extensive literature review on the current technologies has been performed. With proper knowledge and requirements analysis, logical design model of our web mail is sketched with the 4 main features - basic email functionalities, sending through SMS, sending to WAP phones and a WYSIWYG (What You See is What You Get) web page publisher. Emphasis on human computer interaction in the project results in an intuitive user interface so that any novice will be able to use all these tools right away. In the second half of the project, the implementation details of choosing the right scripting language, the right IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) server, error handling and all intricacies of the coding stage are dealt with. Testing was done at every stage. |
