Description
Summary:The Malaysian rainforest is home to a huge diversity of animals and plant life. It is also home to many endangered species which always become a victim of deforestation, forest fires and illegal hunting. In respond to this situation, a development for a wireless sensor network in the forest needs to be implemented for the preservation and conservation of the forest. Using latest wireless technologies such as an XBee module can form a huge wireless network of interconnected devices for the purpose of tracking, detecting and monitoring for any illegal activity in the forest. Additionally with the rise of technologies using Internet of Things implementation, it opens many techniques that can be added to the system, a few examples such as real-time monitoring and Graphical User Interface (GUI) for the network system. Hence, wildlife preservation can be more innovative than ever.
