In the present research, starch biocomposites and nanocomposites were developed using untreated rice husk, cellulose, and cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs). The aim of this thesis is to figure out the outcome of measurements rice husk fibre and loading on the final output of biocomposite starch, to investigate the effects of multisize fiber from the water uptake practice on starch biocomposites, to evaluate the mechanical efficiency of films with respect to their tensile strength, and to analyse the morphology area of rice husk fibers. The solution-casting method was applied to process a biodegradable composite and nanocomposite made from cassava starch and rice husk fibre. By chemical treatment cellulose was extracted from the rice husk, also acid hydrolysis was used to separate cellulose nanocrystals. The crystalline structures, microstructures, thermal, mechanical, and water uptake behavior of the biocomposites and nanocomposites were described. This can be inferred from the findings that cellulose nanocrystal is extremely adaptable among starch and also may improve the starch process in order to manufacture green nanocomposite films for the benefits of shopping bags and food packaging films. 2023-05-03T15:00:29Z 2023-05-03T15:00:29Z 2020-09 https://irepository.uniten.edu.my/handle/123456789/20422 application/pdf |
