Summary: | The technology and automation in Food and Beverages businesses are rapidly changing to exceed customer’s expectation. Self-ordering systems that are integrated with the restaurant’s Point of Sales (POS) system are one of the technologies that are developed for restaurants all around the world. A self-service food ordering system displays the entire menu for the customers to choose from and the orders are placed directly into the system without the intervention of the cashier or server. Not many restaurants in Malaysia have implemented the self-service ordering system. This is due to the lack of exposure on current technology which results in most restaurants sticking to their usual methods of taking orders. However, customers expect restaurants to provide high-quality, timely service. Furthermore, competition among businesses necessitates that businesses reinvent themselves, exceed customer expectations, and raise the quality of their products and services. Therefore, it is quite challenging for restaurants that have yet to implement the self-service ordering system to accommodate customer’s expectations. Therefore, this project serves to help Fazzah’s Kitchen to achieve their goal to develop their order-taking style and at the same time boost their images and sales. Waterfall Model methodology will be use as a method in developing this project in which it employs a sequential structure that relies on predetermined deadlines, conditions, and results. It provides a clear and concise plan for each process involved in the project and when each will be completed. |
