Summary:The goal of this study is to investigate the relationship between macro determinants and the financial performance of construction industries in Malaysia. The sample collected for this empirical study covered 7 years of data from 2013 to 2019. There are 44 public listed construction companies in Bursa Malaysia is examined within the time stated, with a total observation of 308. A panel data analysis is used to determine the link between macro determinants which are interest rate, inflation, and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and the financial performance of construction companies in Malaysia. Return on assets (ROA), return on equity (ROE), and Tobin’s Q act as dependent variables which are used as the proxies for financial performance.
