The study used a quantitative data collection approach with a correlational study design with a sample of 21 UNIMAS Psychology students collected using quota sampling. All data obtained was analyzed using SPSS software. Findings from this study showed that there was a weak, positive correlation between academic motivation and students’ online information retention which was statistically significant despite the small sample size which indicates that there is a relationship between motivation and online learning.
