Summary:This study aims to examine the purchasing intentions of the public toward hydrogen fuel cell (HFCV) vehicles in Kota Kinabalu. There were five variables studied in this study namely attitudes, perceived behavioral control, subjective norms, environmental knowledge, and policy interventions as independent in this study. The respondents of this study are the community around the Kota Kinabalu. There were 320 respondents who participated in the survey conducted randomly. The study used descriptive statistics, Pearson Correlation, Cronbach’s Alpha, and Multiple Linear Regression. The findings of the study found that all five variables had a significant positive relationship with purchase intention against HFCV. Therefore, this study suggests that the government make a plan for the development of hydrogen in Malaysia as well as the implementation of policies that support the use of hydrogen in the country
