Summary:This project is to investigate the bank performance of conventional banks and Islamic banks in global financial crisis. This study focus on internal determinants variables which is total income, liquidity and external determinants variables which is inflation rate and gross domestic product (GDP) to compare the bank performance. There are 16 banks of conventional banks and Islamic banks in the period of 2007-2012 which is the period in-crisis and after crisis. Global financial crisis giving a big impact the world and this causes the world stock markets drop, financial institution have collapsed or been bought out. So, in order to determine the validity of data model, the few tests are used to compare the bank performance of conventional bank and Islamic banks. Proceed with the analysis of the results is obtained through the OLS regression. In contrast, Islamic banks performance is better than conventional banks.
