Summary: | This study explored the undergraduate’s acceptance towards the new normal of Covid19 and to identify the challenges faced by them on distance learning. Ten undergraduates of the third-year psychology students UNIMAS were interviewed using semi structured interview virtually. The main themes emerged are their perception, challenges and coping strategies of distance learning during the pandemic of Covid19. They reported on their perception of distance learning such as the definition, the feeling and the preparation of distance learning. They also shared the challenges they faced during distance learning including, time management, lacking tools, negative emotional consequences and environmental challenges. Furthermore, the study recommends Positive Psychology PERMA Model approach as coping strategies to help students to face their challenges and maintain their wellbeing while involve in distant learning. This study could have further implications on the literatures of the challenges the students have during distance learning, the new normal of higher education approach. |
