The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between job demands-resources and satisfaction with work-life balance of lecturers in private institution in Sarawak. Data were gathered from 60 lecturers from private institution in Sibu, Sarawak. Quantitative research is used in this research and data were collected using Google Form questionnaires with seven sections in total. Descriptive statistics were reported, followed by reliability analysis and also Pearson correlation. Analysis of the data received (N = 60) indicated a significant positive correlation between job demands (workload) and satisfaction with work-life balance (r= 0.938, p < 0.05), a significant positive correlation between job demands (emotional exhaustion and satisfaction with work-life balance (r = 0.971 , p < 0.05.), a significant positive correlation between job resources (collective culture) and satisfaction with work-life balance (r = 0.937, p < 0.05) and a significant positive correlation between job resources (value consonance) and satisfaction with work-life balance (r = 0.954, p < 0.05). The implications from this research study are the lecturers ought to practise collective culture among themselves although they are working from home and emphasize value consonance such as goals, values, norms and educational practises that should be openly discussed in the teaching conference between lecturers so that changes and decisions can be foster accordingly and alleviate their motivations.
