This study was to examine ways to enhance students ’online learning experience through a pedagogical partnership approach for a Technical Writing course. Qualitative research methods were used to observe the behaviour and experience of students during online learning in a Technical Writing course at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) during the COVID-19 pandemic. This involves a joint effort of an instructor and a fellow student who did not register in the focal course, namely Technical Writing, which was offered by the Faculty of Language and Communication in UNIMAS. The results reveal commendable online pedagogical practices that lead to positive learning experiences and behaviour as well as improved or new online pedagogical practices that can alleviate negative learning experiences and behaviour. This case study also offers valuable information on appropriate strategies to enhance students ’online learning experiences. The study also provides information on how the pedagogical partnership process can be improved.
