This project is mainly to develop an IoT piggy bank for kids in the age range of 6-8 years old. It is a money saving box that fixed with some electronic components and connect its output to the LCD display then there is a mobile app for goal tracking purpose. It is fixed with a hole where children can drop their leftover pocket money inside or the rewards given by the parents when get some housework done. Later then, the LCD display screen will display what is the amount that has been inserted into it. It will also show the remaining amount to reach the saving goal. Parents should discuss with their kids where how much is their budget of the thing they wish to buy in order to reach the goal. After that, parents will set the goal from the mobile application. When the goal is reached, a message will congratulate children on the goal achievement. If there is a fixed period where the children has forgotten to save money, then a reminder will notify them. On the other hand, parents can track their children’s saving trend through children’s saving behavior graph.
