Description
Summary:Nowadays, most of places in Malaysia, especially rural areas are now accessible and easier to be reached. With such infrastructure, people are now more affordable to buy themselves various vehicles for traveling. This type of situation will eventually lead to a heavy load of traffics and to the load of the road usage. A proper maintenance is needed to make sure the roads received the best treatment it should be. Therefore, a system called Web-based Road Severity Report System which will be able to analyse the level of severity of pavements based on the type of distresses found on the road. Based on the data input, the system will undergo a process to propose the best possible solution based on the major severity levels which has been selected by users. The methodology used in this proposed system is prototyping methodology. In order to obtain a deep understanding for the proposed system, a literature review has been conducted with three reviewed systems. After reviewed, requirements will be gathered through observation and reviewed system in requirement analysis phase. In system design phase, context diagram, Data Flow Diagram for Level 0, Entity Relationship Diagram, business rules, system architecture and user interface design for mobile website and administrator website were drawn. The proposed system implementation such as installation and configuration of the hardware and software in the proposed system has been identified. Other than that, testing of the proposed system has been stated by following the modules based on the functionality of the mobile and administrator website. In the end of Final Year Project 2, the conclusion and the future works of proposed system have been identified.
