Description
Summary:Divorce is s common topic in our society. Most families broke up because they failed to find a way of reconciliation and settle the problem in a good way between the two sides (husband and wife) after the discussion took place. Ultimately, couples resort divorce to ending the conflict without taking any concern on the effects of their decision taken to their children. This study was purpose to explore the effects of family divorce on the physical, emotional, spiritual and intellectual of rural teenagers, in Sarawak. This study was conducted with qualitative research design and using the face-to face interview method with selected respondents based on the criteria set. The respondents involved in this study consisted of high school students and a counseling teacher from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Lundu (SMKLUNDU). A respondent was selected by using pilot study and interviewed at the school counseling room before the actual data collection was conducted. This method is to ensure the effectiveness of the selected title. Subsequently, four (4) of respondents were selected using a purposive sampling technique by setting targets and listing the features that need to be fulfilled or required to be the respondent. The findings show that family divorce will affect the physical, emotional, spiritual and intellectual development of adolescents. The personal formation of teens depends on the way the caretakers raise them. Overall, this study found that divorce would give profound impact on adolescent emotions. Researchers hope that this study will provide information and benefits to all related parties.
