Description
Summary:This study is aimed at finding the effect of Work-Related Stress on Work Ability Index among employees in the manufacturing industry. This research was done by using mixed method research where the data were collected by using questionnaires and interview as the instrument. The data was collected form 87 included 5 informant samples in one of the manufacturing company in Kuching, Sarawak. The data were then analyzed by using both descriptive and inferential statistics. Besides, Spearman Correlation test procedure was used to measure the relationships between the independent variables and dependent variables. The findings have shown that there is a significant relationship between the work-related stress and Work Ability Index (WAI) score. It was also found that interpersonal relationship and job demand or job control is the most dominant factor affecting the employee work ability. As such, the researcher has recommended a focus on the study that may guide the organizations and future researches
