Summary:This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of relationship of the selected demographic factors like gender, age, year of study and family types on mental health awareness among counselling and psychology students. The quantitative methodology and correlational research design was been used to carry out the study. There were 80 respondents from Counselling and Psychology program at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) involved in the study. Based on the findings, it showed that there was a significant relationship between selected demographic factors such as year of study, age and level of awareness toward mental health. Furthermore, there was no significant difference between gender, family types and level of awareness toward mental health. The study findings can help in future in term of knowledge, conceptual framework and methodology. The study also provided some recommendations to organization (UNIMAS) and future researchers.
