Microfungi are essential component of the ecosystem and considered as the most active microorganism responsible in the decomposition of organic compound in sand and water as well as in nutrient cycling and degradation of hydrocarbon. Soil samples were taken from sandy beach ofPantai Pandan Lundu. The soil samples were dried at room temperature for five days. Soil dilution plate was used to isolate the micro fungi from the sandy soils samples. Two genera of microfungi were isolated namely Trichoderma sp. (71.43%) and Aspergillus sp.(28.57%). The soil texture was sand, having a pH value of 8.08 to 8.39 and the soil moisture ranging from 0.0287 to 0.0601.This provide information on fungal distribution along the beach of Pantai Pandan ,Lundu and useful for future studies related to microfungi.
