The most dominant species for 1 year – old plantation was Pteridium esculentum (G. Forst) with SDR = 0.508 (Summed Dominance Ratio), while Nephrolepis biserrata (Sw.) Schott Bedd with (SDR = 0.7591) for 3 year – old plantation and Pteridium esculentum (G. Forst) with (SDR=0.3086) for 7 year – old plantation. The estimated carbon stock was 4.998 tonne/ha, 1.014 tonne/ha and 1.911 tonne/ha for 1, 3, and 7 – year old oil palm plantation.
