A study was conducted in coast of Sematan to predict its vulnerability changes due to storm wave exposure by using the Coral Triangle Initiative Climate Change Adaptation Vulnerability Assessment (Cn CCA) tools as scientific benchmarks during and post monsoon. There were only few researches on erosion in Peninsular Malaysia but none in Sarawak especially by using the toolkit. Geomorphology changes in beach shapes and profiles were determined with shoreline tracing, Emery method (1965) and toolkit on selected sites. Besides that the awareness level of local communities toward changes in beach were analysed by using pilot questionnaires. It shows that people in Sematan have a medium vulnembility with high tolerance of sensitivity towards low exposure. Moreover, beach width changes gradually in between 1988 untiI20l3. Erosional profiles were deterinined when higher sediment deposited at the upper foreshore and erodes in midshore with a steeper beach gmdient.
