Summary:The purpose of this study is to investigate the capability of changes in the interior design of vehicle, to extend the usage of the vehicle than just to assist the user as a transportation during the fieldwork trip. This research is also conducted to focused on the behaviors of traveler during the road journey/expedition/ holiday adventure. The researcher used the Plog’s Psychographic study to categorized and examine the target respondent’s behaviors, specifically individuals who dare to take risk, adventurous, and interested in exploring new things (Allocentric traveler). The researcher aims to raise an awareness of motorhome capability for traveler to have their journey needs to be more satisfying. The study involves the nature of traveler towards their travel expedition and the common characteristics every individual hold. The behavior categorized in three subject which include their motivations to travel by road, the reason while making a decision, and their satisfaction during the journey and when they reach their destination. The survey data for this study were collected from public social media as well as the Campervan Malaysia Group. A total of 20 survey questionnaires were collected with simulation and graphic of the product that proposed after the result of the research. The fact that Malaysia tourism industries is the second largest income to the country because of the rich nature attractions is famous throughout the world. People all over the places motivated to visit the Malaysia ecotourism destination was either to explore the place or visit for educational purposes. In fact, the information that highly encourage the researcher was that during season of holiday, people are motivated to visit Malaysia in order to spend time with friends and family. This study also exposes that the purpose of their travel was to rest and relax, as much as adventure and this factor was still common for some traveler although they were not the primary motivation. This study found that the use of motorhome for traveling had a profound economic impact on the traveler expenses. Therefore, the portable motorhome, or generally categorized as automobile accessories need to provide the facilities such as accommodation and mini kitchen for the traveler to prepare their meal. The decision making was analyzed and the result was overwhelming shared decisions, that has provided the researcher better understanding of the traveler and as well as for motorhome awareness purpose that might meet the future needs of the traveler during their traveling. The satisfaction levels of the portable motorhome ideas were high which indicated that traveling needs facility could be provided either at urban city, remotes places or rural pristine nature attractions where basic necessities are non-existent. The researcher has chosen the Hiace Commuter 2.5 MT and Nissan Urvan as the subject vehicle for automobile interior space study since the popularity among the society is overwhelming. Later, the data collected singularize Hiace Commuter 2.5 MT as people’s choice, which then the researcher further study on the vehicle’s interior space.
