Description
Summary:This aim of this study is to produce a biogas where food waste it used as its main organic source. Biogas is one of the renewable energy which can be further developed to act as the future energy source before the deplete of the current energy. While using renewable energy, simultaneously will help a lot in reducing global pollution problems. This research shows that biogas is produced through the process called anaerobic digestion which is conducted by using fixed dome digester tank. The experiment is conducted for 20 days per batch. An optimization of biogas will be further shown in this project to see the difference of volume of daily production of biogas while using only food waste only with using food waste mixed with cow manure as additive. Food waste with additive such as cow manure proven to be able to produce higher volume of biogas production. There will be another set of tests to further study more on the presence of methane within the produced biogas which clearly shown by its burning characteristics. Ignition will prove that the methane is exist.
