Summary:Electrical power is something that is very essential nowadays. Almost everything that we use in this modern era are the things that rely on electrical power. In the old days, when it was the dawn of electricity discovery, the European people will have to go to the deep sea to get whale’s semen or the whale oil to produce light and many were perished during the sails. The electricity had given us a better life and ease our daily work. At the first past of this text, the importance of the electricity will be explained in more details and the effect that might be encountered by the people. Moreover, the ways of obtaining electricity when the power outage occurred will also be discussed in this text. The main element of this text will be the experimental study of developing a permanent magnet synchronous generator. Since most of the generator available in the world is every expensive, this text will explain the research and experimental work that had done to build a low-cost generator. Some aspect of generator that is very significant will be set as a manipulated variable in this experimental study to gain an insightful knowledge of building a cost effective synchronous generator.
