There were ten types of diseases found in the Acacia trees in the forest plantation area. The diseases were black mildew, phyllode rust, white leaf spots, Pestalotiopsis foliar spots disease, Cylindrocladium foliar spots and foliar blight, Phaeotrichoconis foliar spots, Nigrospora leaf blight, Botrodiplodia theobromae stem canker, Fusarium stem canker, and Dothiorella stem canker. Fungi from diseases infected leaves and stem of the trees were successfully isolated using Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA). The growth of selected fungi were tested with benomyl and `Super My Plant Food (SMPF)' fertilizer that rich in metal ions content such as boron, manganese, zinc and copper. Benomyl was found able to inhibit up to 80% growth rate of selected fungi at I ppm concentration except for Cylindrocladium sp.
