This study is about the use of signage as visual communication in artwork. This study aimed to learn the concept of visual communication in the piece of artwork. The concept of visual communication can be a major subject in the scientific literature produced by the process of analyzing, identifying and applying in the form of artwork. In this study, a number of objectives have been defined which is to analyze the use of visual communication in conveying a meaning. Next is to identify the elements contained in the semiotic elements. Symbols, icons and indexes is an element that must be examined in generating and applying in scientific writing as the final work. The final objective is to apply the semiotic element in the production of photographic work in the form of visual communication. This study was produced by referring to the reference through several methods. Through this study can also help find credibility in the art through a deep understanding of the use of visual communication.
