Summary: | Essential oil profiling had been done by using GC-FID. The essential oil has been extracted using hydro distillation methods and their chemical compositions were analysed are Piper I01lgamentum, Piper umbel/atum, Piper aduncum, Piper caninum and Piper arborescen. The important compounds in Piper longamentum were identified as a-ionone (25.09%), (E) -~-damascone (22.93%) and ~-bourbonene (8.52%) for leaf with total identified compound are 99.76% and 4-methylthio-2-butanone (44.50%), ~-bourbonene (34.93%) and acetylpyrroline (7.24%) for stems with total identified compound are 99.47%. Piper umbel/atum leaf consist of ~-bourbonene (32.44%), a-ionone (13.70%) and (-)-y-elemene (11.09%) with total identified compound are 99.04%. Piper aduncum were
identified present of dillapiole (67.94%), cedrenol (11.66%) and vanilin (6.34%) in leaf with total identified compound are 99.84% and epoxy-~-ionone (26.42%), hexadecane (15.63%) and (E)-isoelemicin (15.30%) in stems part with total identified compound are
84.06%. Piper caninllm consist of (E)-Whiskey lactone (23.80%), a-bisabolol (15.70%) and (-)-~-bisabo1ene (11.18%) in leaf with total identified compound are 96.52%. Stem part compound were identified are (Z)-6-dodecene-y-lactone (27.11%), a-bisabolo1 (24.87%) and (E)-Whiskey lactone (15.69%) with total identified compound are 99.85%. Piper arborescen were identified consist of guaiol (33%), (Z)-6-dodecene-y-lactone
(10.78%) and a-bisabolol (9.41%) in leaf with total identified compound are 93.49%. Stem part compound were identified are oxo-~-ionone (25 .09%), ~-bisabo101 (21.79%) and butyllaurate (7.95%) with total identified compound are 97.79%. For toxicity test of five Piper spp, Piper adllncum and Piper caninum both shows toxic for both parts leaf and stem at which their LC50 both shows l~~ than 100. For antioxidant test, Piper aduncum for
both parts leaf sand stem shows low antioxidant which their EC50 are more than 1000. |
