Summary:This research was conducted to examine the correlation between parenting styles and children 's personality in Felda Mengkawang, Ajil, Terengganu. The samples were 100 respondents which included 50 parents and 50 children. The questionnaires used to measure were Parenting Style and Big Five Inventory. Information obtainedfrom this research consisted of demographic information of respondents, types ofparenting style and types ofpersonality that they belong to. Four (4) hypotheses were tested using Pearson Correlation to study correlation between the dependent and independent variables. Dependent variables of this research were personality while independent variables were parenting style. Overall, the finding indicated that there were no significant correlation between authoritative parenting and authoritarian parenting with neuroticism and openness to experience among respondents.
