This study was conducted to find out the UNIMAS In-Service ESL teachers perceptions on the Program Khas Pensiswazahan Guru (PKPG) as a Professional Development Programme. The researcher also aimed to find out if their perceptions towards the PKPG ESL as a professional development programme. An interview was administered to a group of 35 in-service ESL teachers who were formerly graduated from UNIMAS and at present teaching in their respective schools in Sibu, Sarikei, Sri Aman and Kuching division. Frequency counts and percentage were the used for this study. The frequently keywords used in the statements determine that the PKPG ESL is a professional development programme. The findings showed that respondents possessed very positive views. This study also revealed that the respondents joining the PKPG programme as a form of professional development to upgrade themselves, gaining degree, promotion and salary increment. The overall impact of this study shows that the respondents are being well equipped with content knowledge and gain self confidence
