The main factors investigated were characteristics of job and climate and structure of job. This study also examined whether there were differences in factors causing job stress based on demographic characteristics such as age, gender and race. This study used questionnaires for data collection. The respondence consisted of 50 employees from JKR (Headquarters) Sarawak. The finding showed that there were significant differences for subfactors communication, bureaucracy, risk and structure based on age. These factors were found have inverse relationship towards jobstress. Older workers tend to have lower job stress for the above sub factors.
