The objectives of this study are to identify the relationships between factors such as trainee's motivation, supervisor's role, managerial support and work environment towards the effectiveness of OJT and to determine the dominant_factor which influences the effectiveness of OJT. Statistical Package. for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 11.0 was used to analyze the data. Frequency and percentages are used to describe the demographic characteristics of the respondents. In order to analyze the relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable, Pearson Correlation was used. This study also used Linear Regression to determine the dominant factor that could influence the effectiveness of OJT. The findings show that positive and significant relationships exist between trainee's motivation, supervisor's role and work environment with the effectiveness of OJT, while the managerial support factor has negative, but significant relationship with the effectiveness of On-the-Job Training. Thus, Kim Hin Industry Berhad branch should offer attractive incentives and rewards to increase the trainees' motivation, support the training and provide good work environment. Besides, supervisors should play their role efficiently and effectively by giving guidance, , feedback and encouragement to the trainees whenever necessary. This study can help to improve the effectiveness of OJT in Kim Hin Industry Berhad branch.
