The purpose of using green building materials is to reduce the environmental effect, and it consists of renewable resources. Most students lack of knowledges about the existence of green building materialsin the construction industry. This research was conducted among the student at Built Environment’s Student in (UNIMAS) using Quantitative methodology which is questionnaires. The goal of the study is to improve the level knowledge of green building materials for student at University Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). There are 3 objectives of this research, to identify the types of green building material, to investigate the effect of using green building material, and to investigate the future strategies for the utilization of green building materials. The expected outcome from this research is a programme should be conducted about how important green building material in construction work, increasing student knowledge and comprehension of the positive and negative impacts of green building material and can documenting future green building material innovation in the industry for new generation. This research was conducted to determine students' knowledge of the types, effects and future strategies of green building materials in addition to minimizing the impact of buildings on human health and the environment. The recommendation is that the university should be aware of students' knowledge about the existence of green building material in the construction industry.
