Malaysia is one of the countries that are moving forward towards a sustainable development by the adaptation of green building in this country. However, the implementation of green building in Sarawak are still lacking as the cost for the green building materials are high-cost and it required a delivery since the materials are needed to be export from West Malaysia. This study was conducted among the organization that manage green building in Sarawak which is from Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) and Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) by using qualitative methods which semi-structure interview session will be conducted. The aims of this study are to investigate the barriers of the green building implementation in Sarawak construction industry. The objective of this research is to investigate the status of implementation green building in Sarawak construction industry, to identify the impact of green building implementation in Sarawak construction industry and to determine the barriers of implementation green building in Sarawak construction industry. The expected outcome for this research is to found out the major factor of barriers implementation of green building in Sarawak and solution of it. Future recommendation for this study is researcher must find the reliable respondents and a better alternative for the lacking in data for the green building in Sarawak in order to achieve the main objective of the research studies. Green building not only give a good impact to the environment but also to other sector such as market, financial and social.
