This results in poor sleep quality particularly among younger generations. For example, nursing students. Objective: The main objective of this study is to assess the prevalence of smartphone addiction among UNIMAS undergraduate nursing students. Whereas the second objective is to determine sleep quality of UNIMAS undergraduate nursing students. While the third objective is to assess the relationship between smartphone addiction and sleep quality among UNIMAS undergraduate nursing students. Method: This study used a quantitative, descriptive cross-sectional study that uses self-administered questionnaires to collect the data among a simple random sample of 161 student nurses. The data was analyzed using Spearman Correlation. Result: Most of the respondent’s age range between 19 to 25 years old (M=21.59, SD= ±1.25). The prevalence of smartphone addiction among UNIMAS undergraduate nursing students was found by almost half of the UNIMAS undergraduate nursing students. Whereas more than half of respondents were discovered to be considered at high risk of serious sleep problems or poor sleep quality. There was a significant positive correlation between smartphone addiction and sleep quality.
