A micromechanical three-dimensional finite element model with governing boundary conditions has been developed from the unit cells of square pattern of the composite to predict longitudinal Young’s modulus, Poisson’s ratio of the composite and the interfacial stresses for a fixed volume fraction of 50%. The finite element software ANSYS has been successfully executed to evaluate the properties and stresses.
