The transient thermal behavior of conjugated perfect and imperfect contact under the effect of the dualphase-lag heat conduction model is investigated numerically. The heat transfer mechanisms during rapid heating of twolayer composite slabs from a macroscopic point of view using the dual-phase-lag heat conduction model is studied. The composite slabs consist of two thin metal layers which may be in perfect and imperfect thermal contact.
