There is a significant (P<0.05) relationship between sediment characteristics with the seasonal changes with a decreasing mean particle size occurring during monsoon seasons. The accretion rate in this study was determined using 230Thexcess and an average accretion rate of about 0.61 cmyr"1 was obtained.
