In modern greenhouse, several measurement factors are required to trace down parameters in different parts of the big greenhouse to make the greenhouse system work properly. Cabling could make the measurement system expensive and difficult to relocate. Thus, a wireless monitoring and control system is developed which composed of computer as monitor control platform, wireless gateway from a XBee module and sensor node. The node hardware circuit design includes water pump controller circuit, temperature sensor and soil humidity sensor. The parameter from these two sensors can be monitored and controlled continuously through the graphical user interface from a computer. The functionality of developed greenhouse system were tested by implemented the sensors and controller unit to the greenhouse prototype. The measured value of the parameter is viewed, recorded using user interface software developed based on LabVIEW 2011 on windows. Through this platform the greenhouse environment also can be controlled to desired condition.
