OCDMA system used has many advantages, such as cheaper and design of the system also simple. OCDMA system is considered as a solution for the next generation of optical networks due to its ability to reduce the effects of Multiple Access Interference (MAI) and Phase Induced Intensity Noise (PIIN). Among all OCDMA technique, Spectral Amplitude Coding (SAC) has the advantages of suppressing the effect of MAI when codes with flexible in phase cross-correlation are utilized as an address sequence at the receiver side. Most codes have been proposed for SAC-OCDMA systems such as DCS, MFH, MDW and Hadamard codes. However, codes have several limitations such as the code is either too long (DCS), construction is complicated (MFH), or poorer cross-correlation (Hadamard) and fixed an even natural number for MDW. Finally, the longer code length had limited the flexibility of the codes since it will require wide bandwidth source (MFH, MDW, Hadamard codes). In this report, new Flexible Cross Correlation code is proposed to improve system capacity and achieve higher performance possible through suppressing PIIN and eliminating MAI. This code also has an advantage of high cardinality and low effective received power 2016-06-02T10:31:52Z 2016-06-02T10:31:52Z 2015-05 Learning Object http://dspace.unimap.edu.my:80/xmlui/handle/123456789/41834 en Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) School of Computer and Communication Engineering |
