The data obtained for photocatalytic degradation of AO7, OG, NC, RB5 and RG19 were well fitted with the Langmuir–Hinshelwood kinetic model. The pseudo-first-order rate constant of RG19 with six sulphonic groups was the highest among the dyes in this study. Results showed that photocatalytic degradation rate of the azo dyes increased following the increase of the number of sulphonic groups of the dyes in the sequence of: AO7 < OG < NC < RB5 < RG19. 2016-03-22T08:08:05Z 2016-03-22T08:08:05Z 2015-08-21 Article Desalination and Water Treatment, vol.55 (8), 2015, pages 2229-2236 1944-3994 1944-3986 (Online) http://dspace.unimap.edu.my:80/xmlui/handle/123456789/41203 10.1080/19443994.2014.932706 en Taylor and Francis Ltd.
