These problems have various effects on the development of the solid waste management system in Malaysia. Anaerobic digestion has been suggested as an alternative method for removing high concentrations of organic waste. In this study, two types of anaerobic digesters which are Simulated Landfi ll Bioreactor (SLBR) and Anaerobic Solid-Liquid (ASL) reactor were proposed. The reactors were operated at a temperature 60°C, analysed for biogas production and volatile fatty acid. 2016-03-09T02:00:37Z 2016-03-09T02:00:37Z 2013 Article International Journal of Environment and Waste Management, vol.12 (2), 2013, pages 121-129 1478-9876 (print) 1478-9868 (online) http://dspace.unimap.edu.my:80/xmlui/handle/123456789/41109 http://dx.doi.org/10.1504/IJEWM.2013.055588 en Inderscience Enterprises Ltd.
