Pile foundation is the part of the structure used to carry and transfer the load of the structure to the bearing ground located at some depth under the ground surface. Main components of the foundation are the piles and the pile cap. Piles are long and slender members which transfer the load to the bottom of soil or rock of high bearing capacity avoiding shallow soil of low bearing capacity. The main types of materials used for piles are steel, wood and also concrete. Piles made from these materials are drilled, driven or jacked into the ground and connected to pile caps. Depending type of soil, pile material and also load transmitting characteristic piles are classified accordingly. The main purpose of this analysis is to know how raked pile resist toward load compare using pile group only how it resist is depend on inclination of pile. The objectives of this project are to study and identify settlement value of pile cap at two different point with variable length of pile (18m , 25m , 30m) on two type of soil (clay and sand) , to identify maximum displacement for each pile (left and right) with variable length of pile (18m , 25m , 30m) on two type of soil (clay and sand) and to study and identify relation between pile diameter value toward settlement value at one point on different type of soil (clay and sand). In this project three length of pile(18m , 25m , 30m) was been choose as variable constant. For each length there are two soil conditions (clay and sand) was compare. Six inclination value (0° ,10° ,15° ,20° ,25° , 30° of ) has been choose to find the most optimum value at the end of analysis. The design is based on 4 storey building using Finite Element Method (FEM). This analysis is to evaluate how pile group only and raked pile resist with load from vertical and lateral loads. 2015-12-11T07:59:51Z 2015-12-11T07:59:51Z 2014-06 Learning Object http://dspace.unimap.edu.my:80/xmlui/handle/123456789/40650 en Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) School of Environmental Engineering |
