The surfactants, namely, cetyltrimethylammonium bromide and sodium dodecyl sulfate, had vital functions in the formation of nanodisk structures. The fabricated ZnO nanodisk-based sensor was exposed to reductive gases. The performance of the developed gas sensor to formaldehyde was superior than that to ethanol. The highest sensitivity values for formaldehyde and ethanol (150 ppm) were 81.6 and 43.2, respectively, at an optimal temperature of 300 °C. 2015-04-13T04:53:08Z 2015-04-13T04:53:08Z 2014-10 Article Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Electronics, vol. 25(11), 2014, pages 4725-4729 0957-4522 http://link.springer.com/article/10.1007%2Fs10854-014-2223-5 http://dspace.unimap.edu.my:80/xmlui/handle/123456789/39432 other Springer Science+Business Media New York
