Johar arasdan@eng.ukm.my mohdfirdaus1982@gmail.com Biomechanics Acceleration Force Velocity Distance Angle National Symposium on Advancements in Ergonomics and Safety (ERGOSYM2009), 1st - 2nd December 2009, Perlis, Malaysia. Malaysia’s achievement in the sport of footballer is relatively low. For this reason, the researcher felt compelled to perform a study on the performance of the soccer players. This study focused more on the biomechanics analysis of the soccer players as well as identifying and investigating problems relating to their kicking action. In this context, biomechanical analysis was done to identify the variable such as velocity, acceleration, distance and the angle of the knee whether it would influence the players kicking force. Data management and analysis were performed using Silicon Pro Coach and Statistical Package for The Social Sciences (SPSS). Image of instep kicking was captured during the study to obtain a visual of the kicking activity so that it can be analyzed. From that, the data for velocity, acceleration, angle of ankle and distance involved in kicking activity can be identified. Furthermore, the equation that relates with the variables were obtained through the ANOVA and regression model for each variable. Based on the findings, the variables was identified as significant to the force model and the force equation model were obtained. The study revealed that the dominant variables contributing to the kicking force were velocity and distance. 2014-10-09T07:00:56Z 2014-10-09T07:00:56Z 2009-12-01 Article p.10-17 http://dspace.unimap.edu.my:80/dspace/handle/123456789/37336 en Proceeding of the National Symposium on Advancements in Ergonomics and Safety (ERGOSYM2009); Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) |
