Natural ventilation is the process of supplying and removing air by means of purpose-provided aperture (such as openable windows, ventilators and shafts) and the natural forces of wind and temperature-difference pressures. Natural ventilation may be divided into two categories: Controlled natural ventilation is intentional displacement of air through specified openings such as windows, doors, and ventilations by using natural forces (usually by pressures from wind and/or indoor-outdoor temperature differences). It is usually controlled to some extent by the occupant. This project has been carried out and two models terrace house were built. One house with natural ventilation design and one another house model that has no natural ventilation design. Natural ventilation design requires the identification of the wind direction happens, strategic orientation and the opening in a closed building. This hole includes windows, doors, ventilators on the roof, skylight, ventilation holes in the walls and so forth. But the project was carried and focusing only on the design of the terrace house in order to provide or support the natural flow. From the results obtained in this project, the house which has a natural ventilation design, give a high rate of air flow, high velocity winds and lower temperatures than a house without natural ventilation design. With natural ventilation design that has been carried out in this project, is expected able to create or develop an efficient ventilation system design for a terrace house. 2014-09-12T07:21:21Z 2014-09-12T07:21:21Z 2010-05 Learning Object http://dspace.unimap.edu.my:80/dspace/handle/123456789/37117 en Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) School of Manufacturing Engineering
