The governing partial differential equations are converted into nonlinear ordinary differential equations using similarity variables, and solved numerically. The effects of the unsteadiness parameter A, stretching/shrinking parameter ε and Prandtl number Pr on the flow and heat transfer characteristics are studied. It is found that the skin friction f′′(0) and the local Nusselt number 1θ(0) increase as the the unsteadiness parameter A increases. Moreover, the velocity and temperature increase as ε and Pr increase. 2014-06-16T03:49:59Z 2014-06-16T03:49:59Z 2012 Article Applied Mathematics and Computational Intelligence (AMCI), vol.1, 2012, pages 1–11 2289-1315 (print) 2289-1323 (online) http://dspace.unimap.edu.my:80/dspace/handle/123456789/35556 http://amci.unimap.edu.my/Vol_1_2012/01.html en Institute of Engineering Mathematics, Universiti Malaysia Perlis |
