This project will include design, synthesis and simulation of SPI. SPI is a synchronous serial data link that operates in full duplex mode and it will transfer data between two devices. Basically, SPI will help the devices to communicate in two modes, which are master mode and slave mode. It consist four major elements which are FIFO, Shifter, Counter and FSM. With an additional element such as FIFO, it can be used for pipelining mechanism. This layout is created using TSMC 0.35µ Technology. There are two softwares used to complete this study, which are Leonardo Spectrum and Mentor Graphics. The total gates, power dissipations, clock frequency, critical paths and area estimation for each parts of SPI will be investigated in this project. The effect of Power Bus and Signal to the layout and the critical paths of the module will be discussed. The output of this project will be the GDS II file of the designed mask layout. 2008-09-05T01:24:52Z 2008-09-05T01:24:52Z 2007 Learning Object http://hdl.handle.net/123456789/1950 en Universiti Malaysia Perlis School Of Microelectronic Engineering |
