The dependency of the EDG results on the distorted radiation patterns due to the hands and on the cross-polarisation power ratio and incident wave parameters of the propagation environment is demonstrated. The results indicate that the generalised selection combining technique, i.e. by using only the best two out of four antenna elements at every channel realisation, achieves 2dB higher EDG than the selection combining and only 1dB less than the maximal ratio combining techniques. 2012-04-10T08:43:57Z 2012-04-10T08:43:57Z 2011-10-27 Article Electronics Letters, vol. 47 (22), 2011, pages 1214-1215 0013-5194 http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpl/articleDetails.jsp?arnumber=6061998 http://hdl.handle.net/123456789/18751 en The Institution of Engineering and Technology
