The most commonly used controller for dc motor controller system is ProportionalIntegral (PI) controller. However, the PI controller has some disadvantages such as: high starting overshoot, sensitivity to controller gains and sluggish response due to sudden load disturbance. Further, fuzzy control is proposed and the performance of fuzzy controller was compared with PI controller. Simulation result are presented and analyzed for both fuzzy and PI controllers.
